Today, Qualcomms' snapdragon 1.5GHz processor reference phone went on sale for a steep $1350 at BSquare, but is it worth it?

So what do you get for a steep price and a non-consumer phone, well other then a cool pelican case, you get Qualcomms' new MSM8660 Snapdragon Processor (3ed Generation) as well as Adreno 220 GPU running Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a 3.61-inch WVGA touchscreen, and has a 13-megapixel rear camera, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and various preloaded monitoring apps, as well as a 1-megapixel front camera, microSD card slot, USB on-the-go support, an HDMI port and support for 5.1-channel surround sound.

This phone is said to be a base line for the new Qualcomm processors and should be used as a reference point, because its pure and optimized for the processor. This processor also allows you to use pressure senative inputs and since it is an asynchronous chip, which means each of its two cores can be run at separate clock and voltages; Qualcomm says that adds up to lower power consumption and a more efficient handset.

The price on this phone is a little bit steep, so I would recommend waiting till the HTC Evo 3D comes out, and getting a subsidized price, but if you got the money then this phone is defiantly the way to go, pure phone and software to show off the pure power of the dual-core 1.5GHz processor.
